Search Engine Magic: Drive Traffic Through Email
When you send an email to a prospective client is there a signature at the bottom? I don’t mean just your name; I mean an email signature that is a brief introduction of who you are and what you’re all about.
Email signatures are a great convenience for the people you’re contacting. They are typically 6-8 lines long and should contain all your contact information. My signature (below) contains my name, title/qualifications, phone, tag line, link to my website and social media sites and a list of major services. In seven lines you know who I am, what I do and how to find out more information.
Your email signature provides a multitude of benefits. The recipient can:
- check out your business through your website link
- visit your Social media pages; it gives them another way to see what you’re all about
- call your phone number if they have questions or want to have you do work for them
I’ve seen some email signatures that have a link to their latest blog, that’s kind of cool too! Now, you’ve given them several ways to find out more about you. And what does that do? Increases traffic.
By creating the right traffic you can increase your client base and that can translate into more revenue. And what small business doesn’t want more traffic, clients and revenue?
