We worked with a company who’s marketing was done randomly. It was done only when someone thought of it instead of a consistent drip campaign. Specials were added on a regular basis but you only saw them if you went to the website – there was no promotion each month to let customers know about the specials. Helpful articles were posted as blogs, but once again you had to visit the website to get the article. Facebook was a totally different campaign. Being a busy business owner this wasn’t getting the priority it needed. Marketing needs to be consistent – not done just when you’re slow. (That’s too late!) They needed help and they needed someone to organize everything.

After doing a thorough marketing analysis we came up with an editorial calendar so we knew in advance what specials were hitting every month. Then we chose an article to promote that had relevance to the monthly special. From there we chose a seasonal item to feature. We put all the items into the newsletter and scheduled it so it reached customers regularly. We promoted the article on Facebook at the same time. We gave them a consistent message and it went out to ALL their customers. What they got in return was a 500% increase in hits on their website over a year’s time and the owner got a lot more time to focus on the business.
